The Perfect Care Package with Nature's Way
The last 3 weeks or so, the weather in North Texas has been nothing but cloudy skies, rain, and most recently cold weather. It occurred to me that this is the season where people get sick due to rapid changes in temperature. There is, however, a way to start prepping for preventative care to strengthen the immune system now before you or anyone in your family catches a cold or flu.
I have mentioned in my instagram stories before how I usually like to try and recover from a cold naturally. This means, grabbing for honey and lemon tea, boosting my intake of Vitamin C, resting, and so forth. I am so glad to be partnering up with Sprouts to showcase their Vitamin Extravaganza when all vitamins and supplements are 25% off! This sale takes place 10/17 for one week and you can find Nature’s Way products on the shelves!
About Nature’s Way
Nature’s Way is the forefront of herbal supplements. Tom, who is the founder of Nature’s Way, created in 1968, searched for a way to help improve the health of his wife. After some unsuccessful conventional options, Tom sought the help of the healing power in plants for assistance. With his efforts, his wife lived another 25 years.
I wanted to share this story because it’s important to showcase the “why” when it comes to the Nature’s Way brand. I find this brand very powerful and forward thinkers, and have strong certifications on their side such as being TRU-ID Certified.
So whether you are putting together a care package for your college student, friend, parent or for yourself…consider heading to Sprouts this week and grab yourself a few of these!

What is Sambucus and Elderberry?
I learned that Sambucus is a flowering plant commonly called elderberry. So in a sense, Sambucus and elderberry can be on in the same plant. Elderberry provides anthocyanin, the content that is key to drive the powerful benefits.
Why is Elderberry commonly used?
Elderberry is used mostly to strengthen the immune system and is known for it being the winter choice during the colder seasons. Most people start using Nature’s Way products around September or October for preventative care efforts when the colder temperatures hit. Nature’s Way elderberry products are also used to relieve colds.
What is Umcka and when do you take it?
Umcka is taken at the first sign of a cold. It has clinically shown to alleviate common colds plus nasal, throat, and bronchial irritations. In children older than 6 years of age and adolescents, the symptoms improve using Umcka.
What are the health benefits?
The main health benefit is to strengthen the immune system. Our immune system helps us fight all the nasty bacterias that enter our body. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to survive. Treat your immune system right by feeding it with nutrients such as Nature’s Way Sambucus Elderberry products, vitamin D, or probiotics. Also taking a regular vitamin daily is helpful.
Why I recommend Nature’s Way
The best part about these products is that children can have them too! For the exception of the Oregano Oil vitamins. I love that Nature’s Way creates it’s products using healthy plant based nutrients that have proven to work. I also like knowing that they are TRU-ID certified with gives them credibility that their products have been tested and authenticated herbal products. My other favorite about Nature’s Way, is they have other products specifically for children, vitamins and supplements to use year round, or even sugar free. I’ve personally just never trusted a product so much as I do with Nature’s Way.
Note: Please be sure to always read directions carefully before giving to children.
