I can't even begin to express how excited I am that Summer is here! After almost a month worth a heavy rains and storms, it's nice to finally bring out my summer essentials and get some Vitamin D from the sun! One Summer Trend that YOU BET I will do more of this Summer is the Peasant Top. It's so light, fresh, airy and romantic! I have seen so many white, beige, or off white peasant tops, which makes this top (for me) more desirable!

Floral Pants Set the Tone for Spring

ROCKIN' A CROP TOP
Howdy all! I recently got into crop tops, and have felt comfortable the more I wear them! How did this happen? I guess it's just the fact that it's getting warmer outside and its OK to show a little skin. I won't show "a bare stomach" unless I had awesome abs, lol....so for now a crop top that peeks at my waist will do ;-) If you are like me (who does not typically wear crop tops), this length may be good for you too. Here is a crop top outfit idea!
My flowered print crop top sits directly ON the waist. Meaning, the moment I lift up my arm at the slightest... I will be showing some skin. Since I'm not 100% comfortable with that idea, I threw over a blazer. That way, should my blouse rise up due to movement, I won't BARE IT ALL ... so to speak.
I paired high waisted, distressed jeans because jeans that sit below the waist often create muffin tops. With a crop top, that is something you want to avoid as it can cause an unflattering figure.
I went with a sandal wedge to give it a casual and laid back look. Another color that would look great with this outfit are nude heels (to make it look more dressy), OR brown wedges paired with a cross body bag.
I love this new necklace I recently purchased! You can also pair a long layered necklace which will make you look long (tall) and lean, but for this look I wanted to keep the necklace close to the collar bone. If you don't have a big, bold necklace... you can also pair this top with big statement earrings.

FLORAL PANTS SET THE TONE FOR SPRING !
Howdy! We are definitely in transition for Spring here in North Texas. With the rainy days behind us, lots of sunny skies ahead! Floral pants are making their debut! Check out my casual floral and sunny wear OOTD!
There are different ways in which you can wear floral wide leg pants. I decided to wear my floral wide leg pants with a top that is the same color as the hues on the pants.
Since the pants have floral all throughout, and ends with aztec designs at the bottom, I decided to throw on a long tribal pendant necklace to compliment the designs on the pants.
I kept the sandals neutral because I want the pants to have all the attention! flat strappy sandals for flowy pants are the way to go with this outfit!
This is just ONE WAY to style floral pants in the Spring. If you have not tried wearing floral pants this Spring or don't own any in your closet, I HIGHLY recommend you giving them a try. It will only add color and variety to your wardrobe!

50TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS OOTD
Howdy Ya'll!!! I am so excited to share with you my presence to the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards! If you live in Texas, having an interest in county music is a MUST! Today I wanted to share with you my OOTD (outfit of the day)! I have lived in Texas all of my life, but have never owned a pair of cowboy (cowgirl in my case) boots. Can you believe that? I know, it's shocking. Although I admire country music, I am not the true definition of a Texas cowgirl. I don't live out in the country on a ranch, ride horses, wear wranglers with big belt buckles, or wear cowboy hats! You get what I mean. Therefore, for today's outfit...I wanted to put together a look that has elements of "country chic" while maintaining "my style"....
